Childbirth is a natural process, but it is not a simple one. This is particularly true of our modern approach to childbirth, which demands that women navigate increasingly complex medical options that may or may not align with their goals as birthing mothers.

According to Lamaze, "Childbirth education empowers women to make informed choices in health care, to assume responsibility for their health, and to trust their inner wisdom." Childbirth education class is a place for you to learn about the birthing process, begin to formulate your own approach to giving birth, and learn how to make choices that are consistent with your feelings, wishes, and beliefs about birth.
